NIKE SB HIGH PREMIUM-CHROMEBALL INCIDENT

If you are abreast to the bountiful rumors on the latest sneaker releases, you most likely heard the term Chromeball Incident.  Set to launch as part of the Nike SB exclusive line-up, one version of the innuendo had the name derived from an olde comic stripe by legendary skater, Neil Blender.  The other, oddly enough, had the sneakers’ design fashioned after the classic Airwalk Enigma. (there is an uncanny resemblance of the two)  Whatever the backstory might be, it does make an intriguing read.  Set to launch in mid or late summer as part of the Nike SB quickstrike package. via: N-SB.org

NIKE AIR FORCE ONE-HAMPTONS EDITION

Nike first released it’s Jones Beach Air Force 1 last year and then again this year at select retailersand to continue with the theme of Long Island inspired Air Force 1’s the Swoosh will release this new Hamptons Air Force 1 at select retailers starting July 1st. This pair of crsipy White Air Force 1’s features an “H” inside of a crest on the tongue of the shoe as well as a map of the Hamptons on the bottom of the icy outsoles. Additionally the shoes use a soft White perforated leather on the upper, these seem like they are the perfect pair for anyone who wants to get out in the sun this Summer. via: Complex

ORIGINAL FAKE X STARKS CHOMPER LACES

OriginalFake and Starks reconvene once again to release a new series of laces. Last year, the two originally kicked things off with a three-pack of Chomper laces seen in gray, red and blue. This time around, the color schemes change to include yellow, green, white and black. The laces are available now via the Starks online store.

Inspired by the city of Tokyo, 14 new sneaker designs will be made exclusively for release at the temporary shop. The new models continue Gucci’s Icon series of luxury streetwear and use an array of premium materials including crocodile, python, patent and suede.

I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but there was a lot of controversy surrounding Apple’s secret iPhone prototype, which was either lost by or stolen from one of their engineers a few months back. The whole incident, which is currently under investigation, basically exposed what many believed to be the next generation iPhone. Since then, many have been holding their breathe and waiting to see if the new iPhone was actually the same prototype that was leaked earlier. And today, finally, after all the hype, it happened, Apple revealed their new iPhone 4.

It turns out the new iPhone 4 looks exactly like the leaked prototype, but that doesn’t change the fact that Apple’s new device is a huge step in the direction of mobile phone innovation. The overall design is thin with glass on the front and back, a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash, and a front facing camera for video calling dubbed FaceTime. Other notable features include Apple’s new iOS4 software, the IPS and Retina display for better viewing angles & resolution, HD video recording, gyroscope, and noise cancellation.

The iPhone 4 will be available in black and white on June 24th with pricing set at $199 for 16GB and $299 for 32GB on a 2 year contract with AT&T. Now that the cat’s officially out the bag, are you getting one?
